Art Central Gallery History

The founder an former owner of Art Central Gallery was Everna Lee Taylor, who established the gallery in 2015. Everna was a self taught artist, and a believer in the absence of formal training. This actually work in his favor. He was void of any inhibitions, thus allowing complete freedom of expression with out being shackled to any style or medium. Actually, Everna had vigorously avoided labels and never considered himself as an artist in the traditional sense. He preferred to be thought of a "pictorial story teller." The depth and intensity of the stories in his works were limited only by the interpretation of the viewer.

Everna passed away on December 27 2024. to honor his memory and preserve his impact, Art Central Galley was rebranded as Art Central Galley Phoebus. This reflects the enduring connection between the galley and the legacy of Everna Lee Taylor.
