VA Coastal Plain at Sunset

The lowlands and coastal plains of Virginia and other Southeastern states provide a transition area between the progressively ascending terrains leading to foothills and mountains. The plains are the last stretch of land which transitions into marsh before beach and open water. Being relatively flat and broad lends itself to open, expansive skylines and brilliant sunsets.
